Seems to be about $50 more everywhere else. They had it listed cheaper earlier and I ordered it thinking it was the non-automatic 400P. Lucky me! Hopefully this helps someone looking for an air compressor.

    https://awzhome.com/product/viair-4...150-psi-air-compressor-kit-for-vehicle-tires/

WARNING: I reviewed the printed order slip and it looks like it was billed to Walmart and notes 4wd.com as an alternate supplier even though I ordered through awzhome.com using Amazon Pay. Additionally, they shipped to my family member's house even though the order slip shows my correct address. Smells fishy to me but it worked out in the end. Can't guarantee you'll have the same experience.

The plot thickens: I looked again at the order form and it shows the payable amount to be ~$270. I checked their website, my email confirmation, and my credit card. They all show the charge to be the advertised price, ~$200. Has anyone had an experience like this before? What's going on?

I saw their website and my spidey sense started tingling. I think it's a chinese scam site. I went through a similar experience trying to order a reloader through seupro[dot]com which says it's a canadian company but there was no support info (the email given is a different domain and nobody responds) and luckily I used paypal so after 30 days they refunded me all of the order money. Never did get the order of course. Now I will never trust an unknown website/domain that is offering way below normal prices on anything. Part of the tell is when they offer literally all product types (Amazon or aliexpress).

If you actually got the merchandise then good job. If you got overcharged then I wish you luck getting the difference refunded.

EDIT: found it at a more reputable site for $250 which beats amazon at $262 https://exploreoutdoorus.com/product/viair-400p-automatic-portable-compressor/

"Automatic" is the keyword I believe.

Looks similar, but it isn't. The 0 psi CFM is the same, but look at the CFM as pressure increases. 400P maintains a higher CFM at higher PSI, which is why it's rated for up to 35" tires. 300P is rated for up to 33" tires.

Edit: I run the 400P Auto RV. It works a treat, I can get all 6 tires on the Tacoma and Trailer inflated from 15 psi to 35 psi is around 12 minutes. That's from the time I put the Tacoma in park to driving away. I do have a pit crew though, the misses and kids are awesome! Currently running stock P rated GY Wrangler 265/70 r16s.

That's a fair point, I've always wondered why they advertised it for bigger tires when the specs read out nearly identical. Thought they were just trying to market a more expensive product to a different demo

The 400p is a great compressor but I don’t like the hose itself. It needs a arb style gauge to make it user friendly

That's why I went with the 400P Auto RV, comes with a trigger style air gun with gauge plus other accessories. And still about half price of the ARB! the 400P Auto has the same air gun and similar accessories, minus the extra hose and a couple other goodies.

So to be clear, you paid less than $200, and you actually received the product? How long did it take to ship/receive?

Correct, I paid less than $200 and received a Viair 400P-Automatic within a few days.

I do want to be emphatic about how fishy everything seems. It worked out for me but I can't promise reproducible results.
