    Greetings friends!

So with a light work schedule, I decided to do my first mod to the 2019 Tacoma I picked up just a week ago. All the reviews and install videos I referenced indicated that this was a simple mod that just about anyone can do...anyone but me apparently.

Not only does the front facing cam not work, but now the majority of my dash is out of commission.

    Impacted systems include:

    "Pre-Collision system malfunction"
    "Lane departure alert malfunction"

    No power to:
    BSM
    ECT power
    Parking sonar
    Inverter
    Auto high beams
    Rear window slider
    climate control zone select
    Probably more?

After wiring the new harness according to the instructions, I did remove the BSM switch to relocate behind the dash in the 'ON' position as others have done. The intention was to put the new camera switch in its location. I (of course) carefully pierced the firewall and fed the wires up into the dash.

I must have done something terribly wrong. Fuses all appear intact.

Probably just going to tell the dealer what I've done and beg for help, but wanted to post in case anyone has any ideas.

    This is beyond frustrating...

    Happy Monday!

I take that back...ECU-No. 2 was blown. I was looking under the hood and not under the dash... Trying again soon if I can find some fuses.

Sorry to hear, I recently added it and everything went well, but I was afraid of something like this happening. Let us know what happened and how it gets resolved.

Remove the ABC and check if everything is working before going to the dealer.

Hopefully replacing the fuse fixes your issue. Another route to take would be to return to stock.

Okay YIKES crisis averted :) It appears that the RCA connections arrived in the wrong places from the factory :annoyed: I suppose I should have checked that? Not sure if that is why the ECU-No. 2 fuse was blown. I replaced it with a 10a as there were no available 7.5a...I hope that is not a problem.

In summary, I'm sure I made a mistake along the way but all appears to be in working order now
