these bike anchors were inspired by a commercial product that i couldn't stomach the price of. levers load the suspension on the footpegs and lock everything in place.

had to powder coat the wheels, because the stockers were ugly.

bought a referb'd steering wheel on ebay. the old one was beat to hell, the new one is faux leather and feels amazing in the hand.

This is awesome!! Wicked build! I'm very curious to see more about those bike tie downs, I'm always having to run a strap to the triple tree or handle bars when loading in my truck. Granted I'm mostly hauling street bikes/not dirt bikes.

so i have a buddy that runs a shop that ties the street bikes down this way as well. it's crazy stable. really the problem is that most straps are too long even in the shortest position to make this work. esp straps with soft ties built in.

if i was hauling street bikes i'd probably use a chock for the front wheel and then strap down. you can do this just with L track or E track on the floor of the truck/trailer. you want to try and pull straight down. not pushed forward/back or wider than the foot peg if you can help it.

i bet if you made a setup similar to the cycle cynch (1 for each footpeg) you'd be in business!

Yeah, this is seriously awesome. I was looking at a variety of different 14' toy haulers and the like, as my son is saying he wants to get into racing this year(and naturally I would want a convenient way to store and haul the bikes on track days). I don't know why I hadn't given what you're doing more consideration up until this point; it seems cost-effective and awesome.

i love that there's nothing to tow. that everything is inside and secure. that it's reconfigurable. I take the bed panels n stuff out when we just go for day trips.

It's been a ton of work, but totally worth it!
