Anyone try to run a battery charger of their bed outlet?

I have a trolling motor battery that I want to use for a good part of a week and I need to keep it semi charged…

I was thinking the noco genius 10a but didn’t know if my bed plug would handle it.

plan is to fully charge battery before trip and just top it off while at the campsite.

10A would probably be too much, I'm pretty sure at 400W that only works out to about 3amps available to power the extra battery. It might be worth looking into a DC to DC charger and running some wire.

Why not just run jumper cables from your truck battery to the trolling motor battery? You’ll get more charge from your taco alternator I’d suspect... as you likely won’t be able to run a battery charger on high output on the bed outlet.
