Hey there folks. I attempted to do the fog, park, headlights anytime/on with ignition mod yesterday. This requires to connect the for light prong to the tail/trailer relay. Well, I do not have the tail/trailer relay so I thought I could try it with a wire in the relay plug, and then add a spade if it worked. I put the wire inside the receptacle on the FL relay and pushed the relay back into place and put the other end of the wire in the trail/tow receptacle, and it didnt work. I tried moving the wire around to make sure I was getting a good connection and that didnt work either. In my moving around, the wire on the trailer receptacle touched one of the other slots on the rececpt. This caused my parking lights to come on, but the do not turn on when I turn the lights on at the stick. I have since returned everything to original. I have checked the fuses under hood and in dash. My screw-up has cause other issues too. Here is the list of what is wrong:

    1. Parking lights do not come on unless I repeat the above process.
    2. No tail lights or tag lights - brake lights and reverse lights work.
    3. Turning key twice on driver door normally unlocks all doors, turning key on passenger side would unlock all, now turning key in door only unlocks one door- I dont have fob unlock option.
    4. Lights do not turn off with ignition.

If I recreate the missteps above, everything works and the parking lights on on, but not controlled by the stalk.

What the hell could I have done? Does anyone have an ideas to correct this?

You have shorted out a wire or switch and fried it. Time to pay an actual auto electrician to diagnose and repair it.

Don’t be surprised if more gremlins pop up later.

That is kinda what I figured. I was hoping that someone would have told me that I fried the fog relay that would come one with the parking lights, but oh well. Thanks for your time.

First check the fuse that mike said to check.

What lights do not go off?
The tail lights, headlights or fog lights?

Try pulling the tail light relay.
    See what happens.
