Are 6112’s (or similar) available to purchase without being combo’d with a spring?

I currently have Bilstein 5100’s with OME and front bumper. I like the firmness of the ride but would like to upgrade the shocks to 6112’s, fox 2.0’s or an equivalent OME shock.

is it possible to buy and upgrade just the shock and use my springs? Or am I going to have to buy complete struts then swap my springs onto them? Is it recommended to do so ?

Bottom line - I’m looking to spend about $2500 - $3000 on a new suspension set up. I have aftermarket UCA’s and a heavy body armour bumper that I plan to lighten. AAL in the rear that I’d like to replace with softer springs, lift shackles and air bags for hauling. Truck is currently on 265’s but will on 285’s next spring.

Check out The Ironman Foam Cell Pros. They might be what your looking for but might be too stiff. I’m not sure how they would be with the weight you have.

As for springs, I think most companies design struts with a specific coil or selection of coils in mind for the applications.
