Feel free to reach out via pm. I'm starting to train again I need to finish passage 5-7 and I'd like to try to knock out out over a long weekend this fall. I'm up to about 10-12 miles at a time with low to moderate elevation and no real pack weight. Long cry from my 20 mile days with 27lbs and 4k climb
Just finished Pine to Washington Park below the rim a couple months ago. May do some stuff up on the rim this summer like Washington park up the rim to blue ridge.

Lol. I took some videos on my phone of some of the close clearance spots, but that's about it. goes through 2 operations on the lathe before it gets to me.. then I pop in all the windows and other features with some 5 Axis Rotations. Definitely fun, but nerve racking. This one tested me for sure.

Rotation Clearance for the side slots. I miss the table by about an inch.. and I keep the tool/shank of tool away from the parts wall by about .050". These slots have 3 different floors as well, so 3 different Planes to work off of. Call-outs of +/- .0025" on that slot wall to a main Datum.

That's all it took for me too. I've always loved Manufacturing. Grew up in/around it.. it just kinda stuck. Plus I just look at it all as learning for my own benefit. Now I can make whatever I want for the most part.
