I have the same press brake, they just look like low carbon HRS with a milled edge to me. The instructions said not to bend round stock as it would deform the fingers...

I don’t know.... we have rock slides every year that hurt people. A guy I knew in high school was pretty messed up when a Boulder the size of a Volkswagen hit his dodge Dakota right behind the drivers seat and sent him into the river.

How clean do these lower control arms need to be for bushings?

Brake cleaner helps break down the rubber some. Give it a squirt while you're reeming it with the wheel.

    There shouldn’t be any rubber?

isn’t it metal sleeve against LCA?

Not super critical as long as the new bushings press in OK. Those looks plenty clean IMO.

That surface has nothing to do with squeaky bushings.

That's good to know I guess, been trying to narrow down why my new ones are noisier than the old even after generous greasing

If your whole bushing is spinning in your control arm you've got bigger problems.

Have you tried greasing the outside parts that rub against lca mounting tabs?

if I remember right, your bushings are like mine with no washer between that spot.

My lowers aren't that bad it's mainly my uppers that are the problem (poly SPC bushings). They get pressed in, and were silent for 2 weeks then it was like Cthulhu awakened

I have the Nolathane brand LCA bushings which are similar to the Whitelines.
