Still going to wait for the Toyota EV pickup. Ford just doesn't have that reliability like Toyota. I see recalls on this within 6 months.

The starting pricepoint is amazingly low for this EV truck. Like any new model I expect bugs to have to be worked out. Ford is going in big on EV’s and I have no doubt they will succeed in the market.

That's for the commercial version. The one they showed with 300 mile range sits at $90,400 RIVIAN with 300 mile standard in all pickups, higher towing range and tow to charge and quad motors not just 2 maxx's out at $75,000.

I want to see the commercial version, that has 40% less moving parts.

    That screen is crazy big.

You’ll be able to get the extended range as an option, at less than the 90k top of the line Platinum, pricing TBD. XLT AWD is around 49,900.

Will be interesting to see how reliable the Rivan motors in wheels are especially off road. Remains to be seen.

    Mostly dust and dirt.
So do they all come with two sets of controls?

Generally with any new vehicle you're going to see recalls and I'd want to see them instead of them getting swept under the rug

Toyota will have their share as well in addition to Rivian, Tesla, etc.

Personally, I like it. However, charging and electric infrastructure is my bigger concern with EVs in general. Tesla seems to be the only manufacturer concerned about that at the moment.

Wouldn’t surprise me to see a recall in 6 months on a new model of anything. I got a recall on my 2019 Tacoma in about that length of time. Wait… mine was the fourth year of the third gen… ;)

Ford tends to excel at recalls.

Yes and no. But generally Toyota is behind the times and so they have a chance to improve upon already existing technology. However, this is relatively new to everyone. Some have more experience than others, but it's still relatively new (at this level) nonetheless.

    Clearly you've never driven a vehicle by FCA/Stellantis ;)

Tesla has their supercharger network but for other fast DC charging and L2 charging the infrastructure is pretty good. Look up charge point.
