This may be covered somewhere else, but I was unable to find it in my search. Does anyone make a high output alternator for the 3G 3.5 Ltr Taco? With all the additional electrical going on with my build a high output alternator would be helpful. Thank you.

Yeah. That’s the information I was looking for. Thank you so much. I didn’t know where to start looking. I’ll go down this rabbit hole for a while. I was wondering, and I haven’t finished reading by any means, but does anyone make a secondary alternator system and would the 3.5 handle it? Just a thought.

The 3rd Gen ECU controls a lot with voltage, battery, alternator, etc and only a tune can change many of these parameters.

Perhaps some of the tuners @TermLimits in here could make use of this.

Dual alternator will need a tune to manage voltage. Especially if you’re running a single battery set up on it.

I’d save your money if you have a single AGM and just get a tune that accounts for the battery’s charging requirements.

If you do need two alternators, look into mounting a second battery. Otherwise you run the risk of having too high of a charge being applied. It won’t hurt with all accessories running, but day to day will shorten the life of a single battery.

Thanks Runner. A dual battery system is what I was referring to. I apologize if I didn't make that clear. Thanks to all that responded to my inquiry. I'm still chasing that rabbit hole, but I'm sure the answer is in there.
