Installed a Prinsu to carry my two 10' yaks using foldable j cradles. I used ones I bought from Amazon that worked well enough on my old OEM rack since the bars were oval. Took a trip yesterday and the cradles were unacceptably loose after only a 45 min ride down the highway. It appears to be that the brackets that tighten to the bars are meant for oval bars and do not have enough contact area for the square Prinsu bars. So, i've been searching for a replacement solution that is foldable and will provide confidence and peace of mind that my yaks will be secure. Any suggestions on what works best?

    All stock.
I had the same issue with my Amazon J-racks. I went cheap and wrapped gorilla duct tape around the brackets where the contact the cross bars so there was actually some grip there and I added some split ring lock washers to the bracket bolts. I've had them up there for several months now and they're still sitting tight.

Good idea! I picked up some Malone foldable cradles because they have 2 brackets/4 bolts each instead of the 1 bracket/2 bolts. Gonna do exactly what you mentioned plus add some thread lock glue to the bolts.
