Anybody know this fella's name?

 

Anyone want to do a trip to big bear and run some trails. All the local trails and sand hollow are to hot right now

That's just it; they literally crawl out of their own skin.

They'll block the opening to their burrow/den/etc and normally web up the ground. Then flip over on their back, pop the carapace of the skin they're crawling out of, and push it off the way someone would struggle removing a pair of leather pants on a hot day.

I'm pretty excited to drive the J10. Got to move it around after the auction but we haven't gotten to cruise with it yet. Gotta ditch the BFGs on it tho haha

That's part of the Salticidae family; they jump/pounce on prey.

They're popular in the exotic pet trade, and though they don't live very long (some species up to 1 year or so), they carry a curious personality.

Cool. He was quick. He didn't jump, but I got the sense that he might.

He was hanging from the underside of my tonneau when I went to load up my mountain bike. I transferred him to outside of my garage, and hope he will stay there.

Any venom concerns? I see them sometimes as I'm pulling weeds in my garden...they make me wonder if I should be wearing sleeves and gloves.
