Almost got run over 2x on my bike ride. Both times I reacted defensively anticipating the drivers failing to. One woman was gonna roll through a stop and I would have been in the intersection, the second pulled out of a curb parking without looking

I'm not exactly small and wearing neon gloves, bright tank top, and shoes with a giant orange stripe but none of that matters when they aren't looking your way anyway. Another day in suburbia

 

And yet they complain if you ride on a sidewalk

 

Yeeeep. People are clueless. I even look all ways when I have a green light these days.

I deal with this crap every afternoon after work when I walk my daughter to the park, people don't give a shit about anyone around them in their vehicles especially when they're on their way home from work.

And I have to do my best to not yell for them to go fuck themselves cause it would freak the kiddo out. I'm a regular fuckin buddah

I don't blame you for getting pissed, you're being a good dad with your little one in mind when these people have no concept of how much of a danger they can pose to you and yours.

Being able to go to the park everyday is awesome. Hopefully the two of you will share plenty of great memories of it.

 

I have taken that bridge almost every time from home to school the past 4 years... seemed safe enough
