There is Skyhigh Off Road in Crested Butte. They are more jeep centered and Earle, the owner, is a solid guy with tons of OR experience http://www.skyhighoffroad.com/

There are a million Tacos on the road in Durango, rivaling or exceeding the quantity of Jeeps and Subarus, but the "offroad" shops in town act like they've never heard of a Tacoma.

Wondering if anyone has any additional shop recommendations in the Four Corners area? I'm looking to get an exhaust re-route, ECGS bushing installed, and suspension work.

Durango here as well. Also have a place in Silverton. I usually offroad with my Jeep or KTM, so I can't recommend a Tacoma shop as that's my snow vehicle.

Checking in from Edwards, moved out here a year ago. Looking for people to hit the trail with and meet up to work on rigs. Also if anyone knows of a shop in the area that is good with alignments on modded 4x4's let me know! Big O isn't cutting it...

Been living in the GJ/Whitewater area for 14 years, but in Whitewater for about 10 of those years. Totally a Toyota lover, and just traded in a Tundra for a new 2021 Taco TRD Pro. MUCH better size and we wanted a truck we could 4-wheel without a ton of mods. Love it so far! Had to get Lunar Rock--such a unique color.

I do beg to differ a little. We have quite a few tacos up this way but they all seem to be parked at Home Depot loading up mulch and pavers for the garden.

I know a few people that own tacos but they are all a little apprehensive about going out in the wild.

Yesterday we attempted to drive "Old Lime Creek Road" in Southern Colorado from the South end to the North end (it bypasses Coal Bank Pass on hwy 550). FAIL! Too early in the season, and after we had driven 3/4 of the way (9 miles? out of 12), we encountered way too much drift snow that we could NOT get through. So, rather than get stuck with absolutely no way to get help, we turned around and drove back to the start--took way over 2 hours. That was the rockiest trail I have ever driven. Lots of rock slides blocking parts of the trail, and lots of exposed rock to drive over. REALLY bumpy, but no scraping--mostly smaller rocks. We did have to get out several times to move trees, rocks and one large boulder. I won't try that trail again. No thanks.

Had to move the circled boulder--not too easy. Looong drop on the left side of the photo.

Simple. There was a VERY sharp rock poking straight out of the rock slide to the right in the photo (not visible in the previous photo), and it was in the optimal place to cut sidewalls. This was a super tight fit for the Tacoma. We moved the rock only about 2 inches, which was just enough to get by without scraping anything on the sharp rock. It seemed a bit (maybe more than a bit) dangerous to NOT move that rock a couple of inches, as we would have had NO help should we have a cut sidewall. BTW- Our Tacoma barely squeezed through that gap. No way a full-size truck would have gotten through. So, it had nothing to do with taking away parts of the trail from others. It was all about continuing or backing up out of there for at least 1/4 mile. Again, it was too early in the season, and the trail was in dire need of some maintenance from someone? I'm sure that some of that rock slide will eventually be moved.

Here's a phot of me standing between the slide and the boulder. Not much room. That sharp rock is behind my left leg. What would you have done had you been there?

First, there was absolutely no way to "drive over" that rock slide. Really, no way unless you are in a Sherman tank or something similar. Also, no way that anyone "intended" for that slide to be driven over. I'm willing to bet money that the slide occurred during this past winter. We didn't see any tire tracks from other vehicles traversing that trail. All told, it was a mistake to even attempt that trail in May--just too early in the summer.

I totally agree with you that making things easier on a trail is not a good thing. However, I truly believe that moving that boulder a measly 2 inches was a safety issue, as a cut sidewall would possibly be a disaster. I still had to be guided through that gap. We sure didn't make that trail any easier for anyone--just a tiny bit safer for narrow vehicles. Still impossible for a full-size truck to get through there.

I also believe that if we would try that trail again in August, that rock slide would be moved (shoved off the edge completely), as this is "supposed" to be an easy trail. Not that I ever intend to try that again.
