What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I'm considering going with Billy 5100's...warranty schmarranty. I still don't understand why they wont do TRD Pro on DCLB's.

 

You cant do it yourself? Its not super hard to do it.

 

I initially asked if they would be able to install it because I had a long bed (knowing it technically excludes long beds and 2020 and below models) and they said no because it was only compatible with the 2021 model Tacoma’s.
My response to that was “I guess more changed on the 2021 model than is publicly known”. That was the end of the conversation.

 

It’s a time issue more than anything. Currently I am in the bathroom and have a toddler at my feet. I can’t even poop in peace, let alone find a day to install a lift kit. Two kids, a demanding job and a busy wife do not allow for any free time.


Edit: with all that said, I would still prefer this over free time any day.

Not OP, but the garnish is a flat piece of plastic that goes in place of the honeycomb so the TSS sensor can still function.

 

Even if your not comfortable...I'm sure there are more than a few dudes on here that would help you out for a pack of fine quality brewskies.

 

Need a pair of DX5s while you're at it? I haven't used them in a while and don't really have anywhere to put them.

Yeah, I missed his previous run. This time around I setup several calendar reminders for my PC, phone and watch to make sure I got one.

 

Went to the dealership for maintenance. They only rotated my tires and no oil change. It’s only every 10,000 miles? That was my last complimentary service. So, in 5,000 miles I’m doing it myself. Love the way that played out (sarcasm), currently have 23,500 miles and no more free service.

only 2 new Tacomas on the lot. No Tundras at all and maybe two 4 Runners. Said they have not received any new stock in a while.
