Well last weekend my son was my gofer with the golf cart while fencing well a 9 year old boy will be a boy and turned that cart in to a nascar and got loose on corner 3 and crashed in to a tree. He came running back to me in the pasture all upset I gave him the look over all the major stuff was attached and no damage to him. He told me the story as we walked up to it , asked him if it was still upright and he said yep I jumped out before it hit. Well he did it good and cracked the lt front hub off, parts ordered last week and he had to help fix it today. He also had to research how to fix it and wrote the instructions

 

Glad he didn’t get hurt is the main thing. Something he’ll remember the rest of his life

 

Time to rock.

@ksimms92 - A little over halftime report - it feels like it's going through the Pit Boss pellets faster than it did the Traeger but that's probably because today it's 25 degrees cooler and overcast instead of full sun like last time than it is a quality difference.

But even if it goes through 30% more, Pit Boss is still cheaper.

 

Will flavor also be a determining factor?

 

If my unrefined palate can tell a difference!

Baby butt.

I bought a 15 pound pork butt from Costco, smoked half of it 3 weeks ago, cut the other half in half and froze them. I smoked one of them today, so somewhere in the neighborhood of 4 pounds.

It hit 205 while I was making palak paneer for my wife so it's off the smoke and resting for another 57 minutes.

 

Well, there goes the Warranty

 

Good thing I have a backup!

 

That is a solid reason to build a bigger garage.

 

Measured the Buick. If the Wildcat will fit. So will any other small seafarin’ vessel.

 

Pork is done. It does taste just a bit less sweet than the last one so maybe the cherry wood gives it more flavor than I gave it credit for.

It's still good, though!





Sides will be whipped up in 2 hours so it's ready when the kid gets home from work.
