Worked on finding things in the shipping container today. Found everything I was looking for except the grease gun.

Also cleaned up the entire ADD system I removed, now ready for resale.

Lucky me has access to a parts washer were I am setup to work on my truck

Spent my lunch hour working on some small things today, in prep for tonight. Can now access all 4 bolts to put the shifter on.

We have plans to get the FJ t-case shifting and all working tonight. Then start perfecting the layout and look.

Here ya go Farook, started last night on getting it all installed.

Old pry bar Jeremiah found on the side of the road 10 years ago was turned in to my shifter move over linkage thingy.

Cut the phone holder out, just like @tacoma16. This is where the twin sticks will come out. :bananadance:

Modified the bottom of the tranny shifter box.

Asked every drill bit we had, if they wanted to get inline for a hot supper. They could not jump into the drill fast enough.

Looks good! Are you bolting or welding the sticks to the shifter piece? If I could do it again I think I would just weld them. Mine tend to loosen up and lock tight is a must.

Yea this is exactly what Jeremiah and I thought might be a problem.

We decided to weld them on.

I am using your setup as a template, thanks @tacoma16 !

Happy to be of help! Be sure to accommodate for vibrations. I should go back and do some trimming to avoid some rattle but meh. Something to consider!
Look forward to seeing it all done! Trucks going to be flying!

Getting it rolling under its own power tonight! Test it out for a week or so until all my skid plates come back from powder coating.

Got the hole all cleaned up in the center so we can get it done tonight.

Some more items showed up, just in time for install tonight.

I am hoping to use these 2 in combo to make a near perfect seal. The willies twin stick thing fits perfect on the bottom of the dish.

This was why I went with a round doggo dish @3JOH22A

Drove it home today, took us over a week to get this done. We had nothing rushing us. Each step we did, we ensured we did it how we wanted. To the best we could get it done.

Turned out better than I ever imaged it would be :cookiemonster:

Did a full 4WD ECU delete.

This relay was put in its place for the rear diff locker any time mod. The 2 wires going under are the 4hi / 4lo dash lights wired up.

Don't know if you have tried this on a trail run yet but as for me, the "wheeling experience" has greatly improved. No more hoping and praying the 4wd goes in and out, now only take's a literal second to engage and disengage, also on a slow roll you can go from 2lo to 4lo and back.

I took my skid plates to get redone with powder coating when we started the switch over.

Should be getting them back this week. No real wheeling until then.

I might go out on a dirt road after I am done work this morning, just get this 'experience' you are raving about. It is honestly all I can think of. In the winter it is going to be so awesome to be shifting it.

@Windigo omg you are so right.

It engages 4hi when you want! The instant you want! No more waiting and flashing lights and hoping.:yay:

Going to be such a blast snow wheeling with this.

Looks like I missed a few images in this thread.

We got it all mounted and working perfect, the shift boot just ended up being the dog dish. Did not use the twin stick boot from the willies.

We are adding 2 safety toggle switches to the glove box.

Since we took out the entire 4WD ECU, I need to be able to turn on and off the rear locker anytime mod, and 1 extra just cuz.

So when going down the highway, if I try to turn on my fog lights and accidentally hit the rear locker button, I dont have to fear for the rear end of my rig.

you know I never though about that. but my idea is to put some kind of guard over the locker button where you can't eaisly press it maybe or something like that.... good thinking. ps. my idea of a guard is usually duct tape:)

    lol

I like the stock look of the switches over there, that is why we will just put the toggle switch over ride in the glove box, nice and clean.

    So that is all Jeremiah.

We brain storm on what I want, refine it. Then he is the man and makes it happen. I assist.

With out him I would be staggering around in circles wondering how to do almost everything.
