Is anyone making steel or aluminum bed rail caps for the 3rd Gen Taco? I want to fab a cab-height bed rack that doesn’t tie up the factory rails and allows a hard tonneau cover. KB Voodoo dropped their project a couple years ago.
    Any ideas?

rotated tires changed oil threw out the old air freshener.
I just purchased two lengths of 3 X 3 X 3/16 angle. for a similar goal. I'm going to fasten to the Tacoma bed cover mounting pads that are under the plastic rail cap, keeping the cargo rails clear. I have not gotten to the project as yet. Been going "house work" ;-)

The two pieces combined weighs 50# , I might have liked 1/8th inch wall but the local supplier doesn't stock that.

    Hey! Good idea.
    I can get 3”x3”x 1/8” aluminum too.
Thanks! I’ll start prototyping and post pics.
    Cheers.
