    I would love to hear the reasoning of Why??

    Granted the OP could have all manor of reasoning .

    Then reading a ever changing fluid you would need to have the engine shut off for a few minutes on level ground.
    It seems creating the ideal range to get a reading would far out way any benefits

    Does your fuel gauge not work? Also, huge chance of static electricity making things go boom.
