Hit up some trails in south Anza Borrego/Ocotillo quickly on my lunch break. Broke in the new 6112's. Piedras Gigantes area along Dos Cabezas trails.

Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
Out doing some highway noise troubleshooting at high elevation today so figured I might as well get in some nature time as well. Got in a nice hike too down some game trails. Looks like a good lake too for a hike-in fishing trip.

Took her over the chopped down ATV access roads of Clough State Park to start with. Nothing like the MOAB but driving over nothing but knocked over trees and tree brush at steep angles was a good babystep for someone who hasn't driven offroad in over a decade and used to have a v6 hardbody.

I spent this past weekend exploring some trails east of Big Pine in Inyo County. Of course we didn't get any shots of my truck actually off-road but we did do a lot of trails since the point of this trip was to pre-run for a dual-sport MC ride I'm leading in the same area next month. On the way to Big Pine we explored the Burro Schmidt Tunnel, the Alabama Hills outside of Lone Pine, the Fish Hatchery in independence (don't judge me, I have a GF and she wanted to feed Ducks) before mapping some trails around the Radio Telescopes outside of Big Pine, going to the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest, exploring some side-trails in that area before ending out day on Death Valley Rd/Saline Valley Road where we stopped 20 miles in when we started to get snowed on!

Beautiful area up there and not crowded! We'll be back again, maybe in the Fall to check-out more places and maybe take Saline Valley Rd. all the way into Death Valley. Here's some pics:

Desert Vista's never get old too me

They wern't lying about it being one lane or narrow

Snow (actually probably Graupel) coming into Saline Valley.
