I've been thinking getting back to a Tacoma, it seems that the 4 cylinder is a champ if I don't need power, which is the case. I'm only hauling things max 100 lb of weight in the back.

It seems that the BEST loaded 4 cylinder I can get is an SR5, and for ease of maintenance I'm going to get 2WD this time.

80% of the fun with Tacoma is actually upgrading it and make it mine, which is what I intend to do, but is there any limitation to the 4 cylinder Taco in terms of aftermarket support? I'm not looking to do any powertrain upgrade, but definitely cosmetic, sound, suspension mods for sure. Thanks in advance

Modding means adding weight, the 4 banger doesnt like that.

You only save money upfront with 4 banger Tacomas, most experience very similar fuel consumption to a V6.

Canada doesn't even sell them anymore.
