At dealership for 30,000 warranty service and they indicated it’s time to change out air filters engine and in cab. Seems like $30 mark up for them to change. Figured I’d just purchase from parts department and change out myself . I know labor is important but I could almost fill the gas tank for that price. Waiting for them to find me in waiting room to let me know I need an alignment. They do every other visit.

Compare prices of filters from Amazon, Autozone, Rockauto, and others. I've found them cheaper at other places other than the dealer...that's just me!

I usually do mine every oil change, if not at least visually check them. Few minute job to change both

I swapped mine with K&N cleanable filters. They give you a sticker that you apply near the filter box that says "STOP" reusable filter..... look to make $$$ elsewhere

I don't drive a lot so I tend to change all my filters yearly. I might get 6k miles on this tacoma this year. All filters in all the cars get changed in December. Its just that magic month where i have time off and i remember to do it.
