Can Toyota be normal for a minute and just come standard with disc brakes, Duratracs, and zero chrome and quit coming out with all these stupid “editions”

    I don’t want a fucking pizza planet truck or Marty’s 4x4.

if you want a real heritage edition give me roll up windows, an access cab with a long bed, no a/c, a turbo-diesel and a 5 spd. I’d gladly pay $30k for that.

At least they attempted to put a better set of tires on there. Still missed the mark though.

All other tire manufacturers are just sitting back enjoying this saying hell yea business is about to start booming again once these hit the lots.

I'd like to see a viral commercial of Elon, driving one to a gas station and filling up the tank.

It's weird but the earth tone colors are still popular even in the land cruiser like the sand color, greens, white's, some earth-tone browns.

They could bring out a hybrid now. They have the ability to do so no sweat, they have all the tooling and parts. Make it a limited edition say 2000 per unit. Great test bed and striking while the iron is hot with F-150 and RIVIAN and Cybertruck. Not that it would be BEV but PHEV would be a huge hit.

Plug in hybrid is the ticket for the next few years and Toyota needed to do that for the Tacoma yesterday.

Appears to be teasing the yellow color while placating a vendor since those Wranglers are front, center and focused.

Fortunately they didn't. in my opinion hybrids are a temporary stop-gap between the internal combustion engine and a fully electric vehicle. Hybrids are overly complex which is undesired for a tough off-road vehicle.

They aren't complex for Toyota. They mass produced millions of units since 1997 worldwide. They are ideal for offroad with substantial low end torque for off road and towing.
