Hey guys, someone know what pressure I would use on bfg ko2 A/T 266/75r16?
The tires shop guy told me that I would use 80 psi but it sounds insane to me.
I’m using 50 psi at this moment...

80?! Holy shit. Id run then between 34 and 40 if it were my truck. Whats Toyota say on the inside door sticker?

Could put some chalk on them and test to see what pressure will make them wear evenly.

Inside door sticker doesn’t apply since these are E loads and 1” bigger than stock.

Those tires are designed to be used on 3/4 and 1 ton trucks that weigh around 7000 lbs empty with GVWR's of 10,000+ lbs. Your Tacoma only weighs around 4000 lbs empty, no more than about 5500 fully loaded. Even the guys driving 3/4 ton trucks that weigh double what your Tacoma weighs only run 50-60 PSI unloaded. The 80 PSI is what they use when loaded to full capacity. The wheels on your Tacoma are only rated to stay together to around 60 PSI.

Actually the number on the door sticker is a good place to start. Since they aren't designed for a Tacoma there are no hard rules for what is best. You just have to experiment. But I found around 30-35 PSI worked best for me. The number on the door called for 29 PSI front and 32 PSI rear, but that was for P rated tires and no load. The number on the tires (44 PSI) was for when loaded heavy.

Did they just fill it to the max capacity the tire says? I thought it was 33-37 Psi all around normally. I wonder how it rides with that PSI?

I’m sure it rides pretty shitty even at 50 psi.

    Haha!

I had e load KO2s and they were like bricks at 35 psi. Was so happy when switched to C load, what a difference.

Maybe he meant 80 psi for a 26 in wheel.

Mine says 80psi. I noticed when I was airing my tires up one time. I thought it was insane, but as a prior comment started it makes sense if these toes are also to be ran on bigger trucks
