So, today's project for my 2015 TRDOR was to clean the throttle body and MAF sensor. The truck has 65k on it so I thought I'd give it a try. Followed the directions I found on YouTube and the cleaning part went fine. Turns out neither was very dirty but it's not difficult to do and cheap maintenance. Before disconnecting the electrical plug on the MAF, I disconnected the battery. After complete, I started the truck. It sputtered as it was trying to burn the TB cleaner, MAF cleaner and the computer remembering the correct settings. It started idling but I noticed the Ultra Gauge wasn't reading, it kept scanning. i also notice that the truck's tach and temp gauge wasn't working. I tried turning off and on the truck but no change. I then reached down and unplugged the Ultra Gauge from the OBDII port and the trucks' gauges started working. I plugged the Ultra Gauge back in and it scanned and started right up. So keep this in mind if you run and Ultra Gauge and perform this maintenance. if your gauges aren't working, unplug the Ultra Gauge and plug it back in. This should solve your problem.
