Quite a few things at this point..
Was definitely @TacoTim85 and I's most challenging day out there. Saddle Up gets ROUGH lol. Wish I had pictures of what Tim went though, but was sadly too busy being a nervous wreck thinking, "fuck, I'm gonna have to do this next.." and spotting. I actually ended up turning around with lots of help.

A Sand Lake trip might be better for you and according to maps its 4 hours and 2 minutes drive. Still a drive but much closer than Florence.

Better for me? I was there, lol. Sand Lake is never worth a trip when the REAL oregon dunes are only a couple hours further!

Not to mention, thanks to that DINK thing, we have a Condo on the Winchester dunes and were spending the week there already, working from our second home!:D

Sand Lake definitely doesn't compare but for me its an hour away so its an easy day trip when I'm feeling the urge to play in the sand. I'd be down for a Florence trip though

I can never get the truck angle right. But I got to visit one of my favorite places last night. Looking forward to getting back and have time to fish it too. F9C0B0C4-67AB-4879-BA64-A3E6DAFA251C.jpg

So I have my 50k mile maintenance coming up real soon, only 910 miles away from it. With that in mind and my big 8 day WABDR trip coming up, I'd really like to knock this out a week or so before (so over the next 2 weeks). At some point on this thread someone offered their knowledge of doing these maintenance tasks and that they'd be down to help and point out what to look for and whatnot. That person still available or anyone else to help guide me? Not asking for you to do any work besides drink beer and yell at me to do things right. I really wanna learn to do all my own maintenance (minus oil change because I get those free for life of truck), and YouTube doesn't cut for me, I have/ask too many questions being a science guy who wants to really understand.

Thanks man. Rides like a dream over potholes and speed bumps so far. I also like how the 265’s look, so I might be sticking with them. Less issues than going up to 285 or 255’s

Had to sell my 17 Tacoma for a tow rig in order to pull my new home. Still here for a bit to keep in touch.
So... I just dropped a few thousand dollars on a tent at LOLO overland. But I dont have a cab rack to hold it yet. LOL Prinsu looks great but IDK, what else is out there that bolts up? I want to keep my soft top so thinking on the cab. Anybody got a great idea? Or a Prinsu they want to sell!?

I too did the plastic on the tailgate skin. I like it but I only had a dremel to cut it so the lines are fucked but I will totally work
