Yes, it’s worth it. Lightweight, functional, very lightweight (better mpgs than a hard top) and does the job. 4 years going strong

I've ran a soft topper for 2 years now. I think it completely depends on your use case/build for your truck.

I like a soft topper because in the PNW it rains a lot so i need a way to keep my gear dry during the winter. i also have small children and need a way to store things like strollers etc out of sight. For me the soft topper is perfect because i can keep things relatively secure/out out of sight/away from the elements.

I also dont want a super heavy truck so the soft topper allows me to keep weight down in the truck

Now the downside compared to a shell or a bed rack is i dont have a great way to store big items on top of the soft topper - this might not matter to you

The benfit though of the soft topper is i can easily fold it down if i need to use my bed like a truck whereas with a hard shell or bed rack it''d be a pain in the ass to remove it.

SO..... ultimately it depends on how you want to use your truck/what your build use is. For me the soft topper is perfect for my needs

    Yes. Worth every penny.

Only complaint is that it's more cumbersome to open than a hard cap and some of the mud that got sprayed on it from one of our trips has basically permanently stained it. That mud was evil though.

The sides or the back window? I'm usually able to get the fabric looking new again using a handheld car wash brush soaked in 303 protectant but the back window I've had to replace after 3 years

I MIGHT pay $300 for one. No way I'd pay full price.

The sides got stained with the mud. I've tried everything from elbow grease to pressurized water. Both with various types of soap. Haha, whatever though, I've acknowledged that I'll never have a show truck, so as long as it looks good enough and is functional - I'm happy.

Currently, Its only about 1.5-2 years old. I don't actually roll the window up when I open it though. Due to my awning being so huge I can't open the "back" of the RTT up, so I have a couple extra metal rods that are used for the RTT's window awnings. I actually use those to prop up my rear window flap in conjunction with the rack that goes over my soft topper. Hoping that not rolling it up will allow it to last a bit longer, especially in the cold.

I like the look of it & it is much easier to take off if you need to transport something like a motorcycle
