My wife will camp anywhere I camp, in anything I camp in regardless of weather conditions. She is absolutely not picky (and prefers manual trans, too!)

Last fall we joined a buddy at his hunting camp (at a campground with hookups). It was a high of 38F and low of 22F every day for 3 days, with some light wind in the evenings. We camped in our RTT topped off road trailer and deployed the awning with the screen room. Ran an electric heater and a Big Buddy heater in the screen room during the day. Nice and toasty! Just used an electric blanket and 0 degree sleeping bags zipped together at night.

She was fully content. June 1st this year will mark 25 years married.

Yea, my wife was happy with a ground tent for a couple of decades. But, at 48 years next month she demands her comfort.

To tell the truth, the ground is harder and the nights colder for me too these days.

    I hear ya,

I turn 50 this summer and wifey turns 49 this summer (same month). Softer matteresses make all the difference.

    As for indoor plumbing.....
Last year I found a product on Amazon that made the cold outside pee for her a lot easier. Called a Tinklebell. Allows her to pee in a wide mouth plastic jar like I do when just waking up or during the night and it's cold outside of the tent. Or find a tree to stand and water during the day. That was her only fidget prior to finding this product, but it never stopped her from enjoying the camping trip otherwise. So, her camping experience went from a 85/100 to 99/100.

As for No.2, this was totally her idea to put the toilet behind a rock and not bother with setting up the Porta Privy tent over it. Wasn't a soul for miles around, and the view was epic. This seated position was about 20 feet from the edge of a mile wide crater in the ground. Love this woman!

I think you misunderstood that’s almost 48 years married. 50 was years ago for us.

I’m simple and cheap. Made a bed in the truck bed and have a water sealed, very comfortable for the wife and I when we camp out, camper top. RTT is a great investment if you’re gonna use it though!

Well that definetely changes the outlook. Kudos for keeping the fire going so long and best wishes that it keeps on going.
You certainly have my respect, sir!

Since you're 2wd... Haha nevermind. I am too.

Depends on how many of you. Long bed or short bed? If long bed, use the bed for a bed. Or get a Gazelle tent. They setup so fast. Trailer is nice too but really pricey
