Very happy to have it in my '17, I had to read the manual to learn what the button did. I did add heated mirrors to my '15, and was prepared to add them again. It is very nice to have heat from the factory.

I thought I was well versed on these trucks before I bought, until sitting in it one day after about 3 months of ownership, while waiting for a meeting. I look down and think "how the hell did that button get there, and WTF is it for". Couldn't believe I hadn't seen it before, or that it took me a minute or two to figure out what it was for. I mean really, how did that one button escape the first few days of "New truck! Gonna sit in the new truck, play with shit, and admire it" inspections?

Missed that page in the owners manual I guess.

Literally just walked out to my truck to see if i had. Had no idea about that this whole time. I was even wishing not to long ago that i had heated mirrors.

    Thanks internet!

The button exists because every other vehicle with optioned heated side mirrors activate when engaging the rear defroster...which of course our trucks do not have because of the rear sliding window.

You're not a moron. I've been doing the same thing for 2 years and just realized now. I work on and drive in a lot of vehicles. I own one of these and did the same thing. Had my back window replaced and thought they didn't hook the defogger back up because it didn't' work right. Before I took it back for a warranty I looked and then realized there wasn't any back window defogger and soon realized Toyota made things complicated!

Bacon cooker. It allows the inverter to draw enough amps to fry bacon.

When I first saw it I also thought, sweet they finally put rear window defrosters on. Unfortunately that is not the case. I think I would rather have rear defrost over mirrors.

I read before I went wheeling. Made it pretty sweet when I actually knew what the features were, how they worked, and when they could be used.
