Thank goodness we all love talking about our trucks and mods all day, otherwise I would be a crazy man with how much I'm going back and forth on what wheels/tires I want to put on my truck that is set to arrive as early as this weekend, haha.

After much back and forth, I've settled on either the (more common) matte black 4runner SEMA wheels or the new for 2021 4runner TRD Pro wheels also in matte black. I would like to wrap whichever wheel I choose in Micheline LTX A/T2 tires in size 265/70/17. I'll be on stock suspension. And this truck will be on the pavement probably 95% of the time, I do need to be sure that there won't be any rubbing issues whatsoever. I believe both sets of wheels have the same OEM +4 offset.

Finally, I've read probably a dozen threads on both of these wheels and it seems some folks are having issues with the rear hubs needing to be ground down by a mm or so to avoid a vibration/not having the wheel seat over the drum properly. I'd like to get some recent feedback if that was just because of a "bad batch" or is that necessary ordering today.

In case anyone needs a reference, I've attached some screenshot of the 2021 wheel on a blue truck from a member here and the prior year SEMA wheel above it with raised white lettering on the tire.

I ordered the ‘21 4Runner TRD Pro wheels and will pick them up when I get the truck. Now I just have to find the best deal on the tires installed.

265/70/17 Michelin LTX A/T2s won’t rub on these wheels and you stock suspension, right? Just making sure.

Crossed my fingers and ordered the 265/70/17 Michelin’s from Discount Tire an hour or so ago. Should have them put on the new wheels a week from yesterday.
