    Hey y,all,

My truck is a 2019 TRD OR DCSB 6MT, stock tires/wheels and suspension. It has about 40,4xx miles on it and I have a vibration in the steering wheel which I can feel in the control of the truck on the road at about 73 or more mph. The weird part is, is that once I am past 73mph the vibration can increase or decrease in intensity in relation to the speed and the road.

I have always had the tires rotated every 5000 miles. It seems like the vibration is worse when the tires are cold at about 30psi and lessens when the tires warm up to 33-35psi. I have never had the alignment checked in all 40,000 miles of owning the vehicle. I am under the impression that toyota techs do not balance the tires when they rotate them. I had the tires balanced by Express Oil at about 15-20k miles and haven't had them rebalanced since.

I'm sure its time to balance the tires again assuming toyota does not balance when they rotate. Do y'all think I should get my alignment checked?

    Off-Topic:
My trucks ECU is 04B41, I saw where there is a TSB for 2019s to correct a rev issue which updates the ECU to like 04B90 or something? (not sure). I'd like to get updated to it. Should i flash back to stock tune if the techs at the stealership will do it?

Well, I would start with the easy stuff and have all four tires re-balanced. Maybe you threw a weight off one of the tires?

Yep, could have thrown a weight.
Also, with over 40k, if you're on tires from the factory, they're probably not worth throwing time and money at.

    Consider:
    Road force balancing.
Flat spots on the tire from sitting overnight.

Could be a million things and not a flat spot from sitting over night. Could be axles, diff, bushings, rims etc etc

    Update:
After spending 3 days trying to find somewhere to balance my tires that wasn't all booked up for the holiday weekend. I was able to get them road force balanced at a local mom and pop shop. $100 and two hours later, this truck went from having a massage chair vibration on the interstate to being as smooth as my brothers Toyota 86.

There is your basic "spin" balancing - spin the wheel & tire, find the hevy spot, offset it with weights.
Then there's road force, which actually applies a load to the tire (simulating the vehicle's weight) while spinning the wheel + tire to find the heavy spot.
The results from the latter are a better assessment of what's happening when you're driving down the road.

Most likely tires need proper balancing, or just a bad tire.

Last time I had them knowingly balanced, was a traditional balance where they just spin the wheel up and put a weight on it.

I don't have a picture of the print out but one of the tires had like 28 lbs when they measured it and were only able to get it down to 26 lbs so that tires is prob close to bad, but I find it strange because these are the factory tires and they've never given me trouble.
