74 nova. I want newest and middle of the road to upper end stuff. I dynamatted the entire thing. I plan to do front components with coaxial for the rear and some type of subwoofer setup for the trunk. Will have a custom center console with touchscreen

Finally got my system in and switched from my previous plan.

3 Audio dynamics 6.5” Dual 2 ohm subs wired to 1.33 ohms in ported box behind seat firing downward.

    Arc audio X2 1100.1

Arc audio PS8-50 8 channel DSP

    Memphis MCX60C components for front
    Memphis MCX60 coaxial rear

    Sound deadening

Down the line will add a mid range to get full use of the 8 channels once I upgrade my factory head unit.

    Here's how the latest box ended up. 48" (L) x 6" (D) x 9.75" (H) with a notch for the seatbelt and stuffed with poly-fill.

Running two SVC Comp-Cs at 2 ohms on the fifth channel of a Kicker CXA600.5, which is probably giving them about 350 watts RMS. They certainly don't play super low, but hit much harder and stay more composed than the single 8" Comp R on the same amp/wattage. The single sub in a roughly .5 sealed enclosure would fall apart when pushed...so not sure if the Comp R doesn't live up to rated power or I was just expecting too much from one 8" driver (probably the latter).

Either way, two lesser model 8" subs seems better in this case than one nicer model.

I removed the storage bin under the rear seats and put the amp there, but it's a little big. Thinking of replacing with some of the small Taramps amps.

You got the sub box from mauisounds? or were you able to find a local shop who can fabricate one?

Yep , Maui sounds. Found him on YouTube. Haven’t found a box that hits as hard as this one on YouTube. These 6.5s are slamming

It’s a cool design. Makes good use of space. A few extra inches and we would have more options.

I’ve got kicker ks component 6x9s up front and ks 3 way 6.5 in the back. Im using a kicker key 200.4 to drive the fronts. There is approx 1.4 usable cubic feet in the box so its not the min requirements. Its loud enough for cruising with the windows down doing 70 and still has some room to go up. The subs surprisingly have a nice low in the sealed enclosure, if i could have made it a bit bigger I think I could have pushed them a little more but its enough to shake the mirrors which is what I wanted.
