Agree I have yet to have any of the neighbors kids look for any work to be done.

Not like when I knew every neighbor within miles and what they might need done.

 

And whether they paid in cash, home baking, or a great, big, sit-down lunch!

 

You making soup? That's way to much fuel, and you need something that hits harder than jumping on it.

Looks about like my push mower blades, but I turn sticks and pine cones into twigs and smaller pine cones. I also clip the tops off tree roots.

What are those seasoned with? Dry rub?

Get the plunger. It's about to overflow.

 

Got both ends stripped.

Put up this new ceiling light today.



Then worked on putting in the new Google smart thermostat.

 

@My Name is Rahl - The old thermostat made it 13 years. It did it's time and was due for an upgrade. My Honeywell is at about 9. It has wifi and our schedule hardly changes so it's good for now.

And put that last bulb in!

 

Took a load of stuff off the store to the dumpster at work and the rain came. Ole Rodney got caught in it.

 

I did find another bulb, so we're good. The bulbs are temporary anyway. We're going to get some LED Edison bulbs to complete the look.

Unrelated, my oldest was scheduled for a 9 hour day today so he packed his lunch this time. He's getting things figured out.

 

Did the sheet rock removal mod today. Now to move and rebuild shorter.

 

This was scarier than watching The Amityville Horror as a kid.

I have a new thermostat to put up, but I've been procrastinating because I have to run a new wire. The current thermostat/wire is 4 conductor, and I need 5 conductor.

Shorter as in half height or shorter length?

 

I mowed and shoveled for everyone on my block, problem was they were all old, retired or dead -- didn't pay much.

As a kid I thought they didn't have much, older I realized they were just cheap people who didn't mind shafting a kid too dumb and shy to ask for a fair wage.
