Does your Realtek Audio Manager look something like this?

Does anything change if you uninstall all audio drivers/audio software suites and just plug-n-play?

I'm not a Winblows guy but this was the second google result.

If you ever decide to use Linux I'm betting there's a few of us in this thread that could help you out. This is the 2 second fix for most Linux audio problems.

    Code:
    sudo alsa force-reload

Mono sound setting works, combines it, but with it off, no left channel.

I forgot how much I hate googling windows problems:

"Figure out why its happpening? No way! Lets take wild stabs in the dark!":

Seeems like you're not the first one with this problem. I think I would uninstall any and all sound related utilities, and then try forcing it to update your drivers. I would also look in the windows update options and see if you have any optional updates that seem sound related.
