Doesn't even have a license plate yet!
Just bought my 2021 Off Road, DCSB 6 speed, color keyed rear bumper with technology package.

Dealer sticker in MA was $37,8xx, I got them to knock off $400 because I bought it same day. Picking it up tomorrow!

My truck just arrived at the dealer. About 9 days ahead of schedule.
    Picking up tomorrow morning.

2021 TRD OR DCSB 6mt (black) with no dealer or port add ons.
    MSRP $36,725
    Dealer fee $500
    Tax, title and registration $550
    no current area incentives
    Total of above $37,775
    no trade, no financing
    Total out the door $34,500

Been waiting 3-4mo. Was supposed to be getting same in army green. Sales rep somehow dropped the ball and that truck either never existed, never arrived or was sold/traded. Had to start over with a sales mgr and the only allocation was this one. They were able to drop all planned port adds but color change was not accepted . I was told this will be one of 6 manual dealer allocations for the model year. Not sure it that means all trims or just TRD OR, doesn't really matter to me.

Planning to add bed mat, bed lighting, all weather mats, console organizers, tailgate lock, 265/75/16 mud tires & camlocker toolbox.

Dealers weren't budging at all in my area, so I joined Costco to get the member discount. I ended up getting a 2021 TRD Pro for around $2400 below MSRP. Picked it up last November right as the 2021 models were hitting the dealer lots. If you don't have a dealer in your area, use the zip code of the nearest Costco store (assuming you have one).

    Nice work.
Another option if you don’t want to go with the third-party warranty route:

Curious to see if anyone has purchased a Toyota extended warranty on their new Tacoma. I suspect each dealer charges something different. Has anyone bought the Platinum package, of so what's the going rate?

...^^^... Best prices by far for the "Real Toyota Platinum Warranty" is one line ... do a search here and you will find the names.

I bought mine in the midwest and it was 1/2 the dealer price.

Whatever you do ... never ... never ... never buy an extended warranty from a 3rd party (outside of Toyota Corp)

ALWAYS READ THE FINE PRINT TOO ... :)

A year ago that deal would be relatively easy to replicate. Replicating it today, not so much.

    2021 Barcelona Red Tacoma 4x4 TRD Off-Road 6MT *SOLD*
I answered a few weeks ago prior to delivery but I think it's still a valid data point. Took delivery yesterday - May 29, 2021 - of an incoming order from almost 3 months ago. Barcelona Red DCSB OR 6MT with Tech and Premium Pkgs, LED headlights, Bakflip MX4 bed cover installed at port, and OEM floor liners....not other options added on. I paid MSRP ($42,813) and they backed out their doc/admin fee. I actually, considering the market today and the wait time on these trucks, to be a pretty fair deal all around. I actually ended up ordering it from a dealership in Alabama a little under 4 hours away from my home in Georgia as I called 4 dealers in the Atlanta metro area that were either uninterested in finding a truck to my specs altogether or would only talk about what they had in transit that wasn't the color I wanted and came with thousands of dollars of Southeast Toyota add-ons (Toyoguard, Predator steps, hundreds of dollars in silly iPhone cables and interior LEDs, overpriced paint protection film, etc). I was actually happy to buy the truck from where I did as this will be the fourth new vehicle we have bought from them in the last 6 years.

I think we all realize the market is beyond crazy right now with used car trade-in values beyond silly (my trade-in paid for half of the truck and was about $3k over what it was in January KBB Excellent trade-in value) and the low inventory, and to me, I'd rather pay sticker for EXACTLY what I wanted versus getting a "deal" on compromising on color and options. Plus, this will not be a daily driver so the miles will be fairly low if I want to trade for a new truck in 3-4 years; I hope to get most of my money back out of it.

One final point, over the years of being involved with the car community online and my career in general, I've learned this to be true: people love to brag how much they paid for their house and how little they paid for their car, they usually lie about both.

I agree with you if we're talking about this time last year, but I picked up my TRD Pro in mid-November. Dealer inventory was a lot like it is today, and demand was high for the 2021 model year. As long as inventory is low, dealers are going to continue to play hardball. That's why I decided to use Costco pricing instead. I don't doubt for a minute that there aren't dealers out there that are willing to honor the pricing. The Costco program is easy money for the participating dealerships.

I bought a TRD 4x4 Off Road with premium package at $40k
suggested msrp was $36k dealer was asking $45k+ additional $10k markup (obvi these models don't have markups) but dealer was trying to play me. called them on their bs and they ended up taking the markup off.
    monthly is at $590
I say I got a pretty good deal.

I’ve been trying this for 3 months or so since my value went up so much on my truck and I got it for a steal to begin with last year. I’ve used the Costco Auto and there isn’t much of a difference in using Costco on a Pro. Maybe $500 but then when I went that route they added all their fees and it would be way cheaper just doing MSRP and no dealer add ons at a non Costco dealer. Changed zips and contacted dealers within the Gulf States and they weren’t having it. That and the limited dealers that were Costco it wasn’t worth it. I would say around Feb or March was when I started seeing the Market Adjustments being added due to inventory and chip shortages and sticking to MSRP for the Pro. The last 2 that I thought I could might have a chance to get because someone backed out of the deal the dealer contacted me and asked how much I wanted to bid on the truck. I said I would pay MSRP and I was told that my best bet would be to wait until inventory came back up. The other dealer called to tell me it was a $5k adjustment and I said no thanks and then emailed me right after that and said that it was now $10k within an hour.

So I found a dealer at MSRP and no add ons or other bs and have a signed agreed upon price and placed my deposit. So now it’s wait and see.

Dealer was asking ~55k for a DCSB OR? And monthly payment number by itself means nothing.

Yep, I found a 2021 trd pro MT and got the dealer to mrsp. Put the deposit in 2 weeks ago once we agreed on price and its getting built in a week. Hardest part is finding what you want.
