I use Invisible Glass glass cleaner and 0000 steel wool to get glean. Wipe down with a good lint free waffle weave towel. Repeat. Then I like to use Bead Makers on the glass. Two coats and it’s good. I do this to all my windows.

Going from steel wool to Bead Maker. Does it leaves any scratches behind?

    Since there no polishing step.

No. Just wet the window down really good with the invisible glass. Then use the steel wool it won’t scratch the glass light pressure. Then the bead makers. If you have scratches already on the glass depending on the depth Griots makes a polish that you can use with your DA.

I have wipers marks/scratches on the windshield. The last time a polish the glass I used Meguiars M105 which removed about 70% of the scratches.

I have water marks on the glass that I want to remove before I put a coating on the glass.

    Thanks for the advice!

Yes. It’s the original Quad made of Reynolds 531 magnesium alloy. Good eye

Another fan of Griot's polishes! Turned this very old repaint from faded to respectable!

This was their Complete Compound on a mix of a microfiber correcting pad or foam medium cutting depending on what I ran into. (topped with Collinite 845)

    Before:

    After:

The roof did require an initial heavier cut, but finished nice with the Complete Compound.

This was done on one of the HF Bauer Long Throw DA's. Little bit different to get used to, but it worked well. Like other's have commented there was very little dust with this product. I can only imagine how much better the Boss system would work!

    Nice work, Adam.

Can wetsanding with 3,000 or 5,000 grit sandpaper help the roof?

Unfortunately there's no more improvement to be made on the roof. It's the original 26 year old single stage and is micro cracking in spots. Got it as good as I could and left well enough alone. Sanding would further damage what's left.

Are you keeping the Talon now?

I think it was on Meguiars Online where I saw a member do a roll on paint job with Rustoleum.

After a wetsand and buff it look really good.

@Venom . It’s been raining every day for like 3 weeks here. So this is the water still beading up on a dirty hood. When you go down the road it literally just slides off. The Griots ceramic wash is holding up. Once I wash I let ya know how well it stays. 3F82BCBC-48AB-4119-8A16-092977B9C0C0.jpg

What are you going to wash it with?

Do you have anything PH neutral carwash soap?

I think the PH neutral doesn't add any protection that it would be a fair test to check durability.

using Griot's ceramic 3 in 1 spray wax, the ceramic wash soap, and the ceramic speed shine, is a great way to keep up on your finishes. bugs, come right off, with ease. it is a great group of products. Ski
