I don’t know how you have had 3 sets of duracraps. I didn’t even last a full set before I replaced them with something better.

to each their own. I’ve always had good success with them. The set on my GX is the 3rd or 4th set I’ve owned

Sidewalls are complete garbage and blowout easily. They are decent for street duty until they are worn down halfway and then get extremely noisy.

This is good to know. People rave about the 460 brake swap in the Facebook group.

I’ve been running 460 brakes for over two years, no problems.

It almost sounds like they aren't bled properly and you still have air in the line.
I've been pretty happy just upgrading my pads to Power Stop Z36-976 Front Z36 Truck and Tow Brake Pads.

Really? I have wheeled mine hard and never had an issue - mud, backwoods, lots of rocks. No mercy. Never had a blowout, gouge, anything. Good on the street. Best AT I've ever had in the snow. Only issue I ever had was maybe 3 years ago I ran over a piece of rebar that went straight through the tread and of course that had to be replaced - but that would have happened to literally any tire.

Sorry to hear it was the best AT tire you have had in the snow. There are plenty more that are way better.

You don't have to be sorry, but I accept your apology. If you've got other recommendations for tires with good snow manners, I will take them. My city gets 60" of snow fall a year on average, sometimes much worse. I have driven a dozen different tires - Duratrac has been the best by far. Only tire that came close was an LT yokohama geolandar ats.

Also - maybe pick better lines :) I've been driving offroad aired down with duratracs for years, multiple rigs, never had an issue.

Same with the Tundra. That's why I stressed it might be a bad comparison. It might be a good swap for the GX470.

I actually agree. I've bled the braks 6-8 times and paid a shop to bleed them twice. No luck yet. On the 1st gen Tundra, the ABS module is separate from the MC and Booster, with much line space in between. I'm thinking I have air trapped in the ABS system I've been unable to purge. There isn't a bleeder on it. Another guy had this happen with his Tundra and he gave me some tips on how to remove it.

You need techstream to bleed the abs pump.

Been busy this weekend. Added a Grom Vline, crawl control & mts, and an expedition essentials ram track. Also got a dometic fridge during their sale but that’ll get shared between the taco & gx.

I wish. Not compatible with 02 Tundra. About the only thing I can do is find some gravel and try to burp the system. The guy I spoke to said he had to activate ABS a few times and then immediately bleed the system.

have you tried to pressure bleed the system with a BG machine or even a Motive pressure bleeder, or reverse bleed it ?

Not familiar with a BG machine. But I've had it pressure bled twice and I bought a reverse brake bleeder which didn't help. This has been a 8 month saga. I've tried everything anyone has suggested.
