Howdy folks, I’m from S Al and wanted to get into another Toyota truck soon and have been trying to decide on a 2nd or 3rd Gen. Have had multiple 84-87 pickups and 4runners over the years and always loved them but they drive like a wagon compared to newer trucks. Wouldn’t mind another solid axle truck but they’re getting pretty scarce. Right now Looking at DCLB 05- 2017. Should have went and looked at the rhino lined 2nd gen truck that was on here a couple of weeks ago in Pensacola.

My e60 525 has 330k on it, how much longer can it last? Have to finish the samurai project in case it takes a final dump. And hurricane sally wasn’t too kind to my already ailing 80 series!

Now is possibly the worst time to be buying a vehicle, nothing new is in stock and everything is way over priced due to lack of availability, supply and demand...

That said I suppose it depends on what you want the truck for, 3rd gens are more comfortable pavement pounders, 2nd gens are, if general opinion is to be believed, more reliable and better trucks.

hey welcome, hopefully get some input into what you want to pick up. I recently financed a trd sport premium; so far has been great driving. I believe I get like 14L/100km currently

THIS. Best of luck finding a good price on anything. I've been offered crazy amounts for my truck by both dealer and private party.
