Obviously it’s needs to be painted but I got a good deal on this, it came off of a Ford ranger. Does it stick out too far against the cab or does it look good? Its flush to the bed in the back and tapers in the front. If it looks weird I’ll sell it and buy a different one, I just can’t tell.

i think it looks good, id just be worried about how big those side glasses are. are they plexi or real glass?

i mean either way i doubt you'd ever bust one

It would look better in another color, but I could live with it as is. Especially if the price were right. I don't think the truck and cap have to be the same color, but red and blue isn't a good combo. If you got it cheap enough you could get it painted to match and still come out ahead. Of just leave it.

I think it’s tempered and laminated. If it ever breaks I know how to fix it and I’m a glazier so I get glass pretty cheap.

I couldn’t live with the red, especially after all the money I put into this truck. I’m getting it color matched this week but I’m mulling over whether I like it or not first.

The irony is my lock was broken the whole time I owned it. When the quarantine happened, I was on the road and had 5k rounds of ammunition in my truck. The sad part is the only thing that was stolen was my godforsaken toilet paper! I had 3 cases of it and that was the only thing that was stolen... I wound up having to use bamboo napkins from a 7-11. Assholes.

    Fits pretty well considering!
Do you get paint cheap too? Because I think painting shells is like 300-400 minimum. You could also have it vinyl wrapped our rhino lined (bed liner).

Need an actual side shot. Looks like the front wings out a bit. Dose it fit well on your bed rails?

*I* would use it if the truck was more of a beater.

But with one that's received the work yours has to stay nice, and you even want to color match, *I* would be looking for a correct fit.

Leave it on as is if it's useful to you, then sell when you find / refinish the correct fit. Lots of Rangers still around to appreciate that piece.

I think you’re right. I picked it up for 300 bucks and I think I could get 500 for it so I won’t feel bad starting over.
