    Hi all

I just threw on a set of icon rxts on stage 2, oh boy. Better ride than stocks plus my 2" blocks? Oh yeah. They are paired with bilstien 5160s, ride really nicely.

Right now theyre just on with the stock toyota plates and U bolts, and stock bumps. The bumps are probably too short. I was going to swap that out with a U bolt flip kit with superbumps, looking at the wheeler's offroad kit with that. Should I also do a carrier bearing drop? Since I have a good 2.5" lift going on in the rear now.

The ebrake cable guide I just mounted to the nearest shackle bolt. It did raise it a little though, taking up some slack. Is there a better way?

Anything else I should be wary of dropping? I believe the 2" blocks I had on previously came with a brake line drop kit that I did install. And would it be wise to add a couple degrees of shim in there?

    Thanks!

Gonna bump this just to see if anyone thinks I should add shims. Still rides like a dream! Just ordered a U bolt flippy kit and carrier bearing drop as well. Why not.

Congrats on the new setup, but why mess with it if you don't have any issues? The leaf shims and carrier bearing spacers are for correcting a problem. If you don't have one now, you will likely introduce one.
U bolt flip won't cause any issue.

The carrier bearing seems like a good idea to correct for negative driveline angle, from what I read on another thread around here. The shims - I wasn't sure. But good point! I'll just keep on rollin for now.

If you aren't getting any more shudder or vibration compared to before, don't bother with carrier bearing drop or shims. I'm running the RXT leafs on option 3 with Speedway liners, adding up to about 4" of lift, and didn't get any shudder.

The E-brake cable guide can be bent as needed to better line up with cable if needed. My parking brake still works when flexed as shown in my avatar pic.

Wheelers U-bolt flip kit with superbumps is a good setup for 5160s. It's also turning out to be a good setup for running 35" tires without fender trimming, but I learned that by chance...
