What makes it even more interesting is this kid has pretty well been sheltered most of his life. Me, I'm very crude, outspoken, and perverted, most of the time. Doesn't know the difference between the most basic hand tools. I know we all gotta start somewhere, but damn ya gotta be somewhat mechanically inclined to do my field of work.

He picks it up fast or he gets traded to the other side of the belt unless Mommy or Dad has a interest.

Yeah, I was probably that kid...but I figured it out quick. Now I tend to be more riebald and cuss a bunch.

The lack of good movies these GD kids haven’t seen drives me nuts. I get some, but BACK TO THE FUTURE? If you don’t know those references go right back home man.

It's a good thing I don't need this one because that hole is where the spout for the grease can is and is probably dented. That "part number" is a little suspicious, too.
I bought the first one at Costco on February 6th and picked up the replacement on April 16th, I think.

I'll always be grateful to my father who ensured that I learned basic skills young. I learned how to sweat copper pipe when I was ~10 and helped re-wire our house when I was in my teens... I don't understand how people can go through life without basic home & vehicle repair skills.

As long as there's more sock than hole, it's good to go.

Some of the new technicians starting out at work have to be taught the difference in a Phillips vs flathead screwdriver, and they all have at least a 4 year degree

I've been staying busy at work and home so finding it a little difficult to get back to regular around here. Easier to stay in touch during the winter months I guess. Hope everyone has been doing well.
It's a tough decision on what generation of Tacoma but sure like my 3rd gen. Both exterior and interior improvements.
A to do list pretty long here, besides the weekly house/yard chores; work on Corvette, regular PM's on everything else, daughters Jeep needs power steering hoses, my Jeep going to get a 50k mile transmission fluid and filter + transfer case, add a leaf and shocks to my Tacoma, the fun never ends!
I got spark plugs done in the wifes 2013 on Monday. Replaced at 50k then just now 100k miles. Probably a little overdue. 20210531_173714.jpg
