May not be an issue on the 2nd gens, but on the passenger side of the 3rd gens the bolt head likes to grab some wires that go to the A/C compressor. Get them out of the way.

An angle grinder with a cut-off wheel is your friend if they're corroded. Had to cut one of mine off after pb blaster couldn't loosen it.

yeah just bend that shit back and knock it out and let it sit there if you're reusing her. Passenger side kicked my ass. Cracked the hood and used a pry bar next to the intake and smashed it toward myself and then used it again to smash it back into place. Wasnt pretty. Also watch for the wire harnesses attached to the inner fender. Peace and love.

I kept reading about the bending and didn't like the sound of that. As it turns out it is so minor, especially with that flat jaw tool that it is almost a non issue.

The driver side gave me the worst time, lots of wire looms in the way and not much room to work with. The passenger side was easy when I realized it made more sense to run the bolt from the back rather than the front.
