Why do the photos for my contacts disappear when I start driving? Do they think I am going to stare at them and not watch the road? Any way to get it to stop doing this?

Federal law requires that nude contact pictures disappear when the truck in moving.

No way to stop it, unless you install an aftermarket HU. It falls under the same safety software as blanking out received texts and refusing to let you navigate certain screens.

There are some strange rules out there. Until I got my 2019 TRD Sport, which has built-in navigation, I used a Garmin. There were many times when I was driving down the road and wondered if there was a "Costco", or a certain restaurant, etc, nearby. In the Garmin, I could do a search by only keying in the name, and it would bring them up, sorted by how close they were. I cannot do that on my 2019 TRD Sport, as it blanks out that ability. So in the couple of times I wanted to know if something was nearby, I actually had to pull over on the side of the road/freeway and stop, so I could do the search. Very frustrating, especially because while I somewhat understand why it could be a safety factor to have the driver doing this, when I had the Garmin, the wife could do the search for me while we were driving down the road. That isn't even an option on the built-in navigation. So as someone else mentioned, your not being able to see contact pictures while driving, is probably related to that. Since I only have one actual contact with a picture attached to it on my phone, I was not even aware they SHOWED the contact picture on the Entune screen! So thanks for this post!
