    Hi All,

I have a 2017 Tacoma TRD. Out of no where, the driver side switch no longer controls the passenger side window. All the other buttons on this module still work, and the passenger side switch is still functional.

I pulled out the module, contacts seems clean and the button mechanism still works. Blasted with air and re-installed to no effect.

Thoughts? I don't want to replace the module if the root cause involves a broken wire or bad fuse (neither of these make sense to me).

    Much appreciated
    Scott

Buttons go bad, but you probably have to replace the whole module if the button went bad. There could be other fixes that i'm not sure of

Yep, that's exactly what the problem was. Never heard of it before, thank you.

I forget what it entails, but it's like a hard reset for the switch module. Maybe it re-establishes the stop points? Like the up and down limit?

Right, how is this accomplished? Like disconnecting the battery or something?

It's done at the master switch. Holding up then holding down for X amount of seconds etc. Like I said, I forget what it exactly is. Window initialization I think it's called.

Did you accidentally press the lockout button?

    Window initialization process is attached.
