Totally agree, that was important to me as well so I confirmed with Goose Gear before ordering. Fortunately, the access cab version comes with infill (side) panels. There are still a few gaps underneath where a super committed thief could probably access smaller items. Overall, it’s fairly secure... I wouldn’t leave anything super valuable in a vehicle anyway. It’s definitely a deterrent.

Can someone who purchased the GG delete tell what they bought/used as anchor points? I'm thinking about this but am unsure how I would anchor a fridge to it. Thanks.

Goose Gear sells tiedown loops. There are multiple threaded inserts (1/4-20) on the panels to allow for addition of tiedown points & accessories.

I finally bit the bullet and ordered a set. One thing to note on 2nd Gen with a factory subwoofer - the subwoofer shroud will need to be trimmed to fit both the 40% back panel and the 60% bottom panel. I am using 1/4-20 eye bolts as tiedown points for my fridge.

I wanna do this so bad! But I have a 3rd Gen with the factory sub and can’t decide if it’s as worth it with the space taken up and that gap on the side between the 60 and 40 percent.

If you don't have passengers and have a dog or stuff to take on trips it's worth it.

Mia there’s something to fill the space on the side of the sub or is that just a gap there when it’s installed?

Why does the gap concern you? Are you transporting loose change back there? No one will notice or care.

I guess I should have described it better. This is the area I was referring to, obviously I wouldn’t care about the small gaps in the normal kit. AAAC0FF2-0CE8-465C-84F7-F5DB5E609028.jpg

Looks are pretty low on the list when it comes to my truck and I wouldn't even notice that. Get the 40% back wall, and if the gap still bothers you some black plactic to cut to shape for the side. The utility of a flat storage area in the cab is great.

If you get the back wall piece for the 40% it helps cover it a bit, but you will need to trim the plastic that goes over the sub. I bolted in one of those Rigid crates from Home Depot. I don't really notice the open space.

I didn’t realize you had to trim that, I was just gonna order the 40% for now to fit my fridge. That’s good to know.

    Howdy,

Have any of you fine folks already in possession of the Goose Gear rear seat delete kit found a D-Ring or D-Ring type solution that can utilize the existing 1/4 20 bolts or bolt holes? I’m after something that folds down when not in use. (When the fridge is out during everyday driving.)

    Thanks in advance!

The round ones from them are pretty low profile. Only stick up about 3/4”. If that is too much, any d-ring with a single mounting hole on the base would be fine. Here are a few available from McMaster Carr https://www.mcmaster.com/d-rings/tie-down-rings-6/number-of-mounting-holes~1/

Loved the look of the goose gear the price tag was a turn off. I made this for under $100 to have a flat floor i also have storage underneath in containers just have to move the front seat forward to access it

The goose gear setup has less value in an access cab than a double cab, and even less for someone with the skills and tools to build their own.

I did the complete rear seat delete with the Goose Gear deck. I did a swap plus cash with a utility package truck. It helped keep the cost reasonable. It was a permanent swap, looks professional.
