Eibach 2.0 at 2” front and a Deaver AAL in the rear. Only issue so far is that when I took it to get aligned the thrust angle on the rear axle is .56 out, so I’m going to have to loosen ubolts, lift it up and try to knock the drivers side of the axle a bit forward.

The warping is real! Working out the details but I think cutting slots for the screws to drift may be the solution.

what kinda plastic did you use? I remember someone on here built a DIY wedge camper (it might have been ripcord’s first build). He used ABS for his side panels and they did the exact same thing when it got hot. He had to redo it with new panels of a different material.

I used 1/4" HDPE. It seems to have a lot of expansion and contraction with temperature. This was after a few minutes of direct sun on a 98 degree day. Just need to make a little room for it to drift as it expands. I'll keep playing with it before I go to aluminum or something. I like the cutting board like surface.

Yeah, its heat expansion. It goes back to shape quickly as it cools down. It was too hot to touch in the picture...

I was fairly sure @Astr0Aar0n used HDPE from tap plastics and I haven't heard of him having any issues. Want to chime in here on what you used and if you have had any problems, @Astr0Aar0n ?

Quite a few things at this point..
Yup, I used HDPE as well. I do get some very slight warping in high heat, but nothing the is creating any issues. Tailgate would still close fine and the surface was still mostly flat.

Wow, yeah, I've never had warping close to this extreme.

I've seen black UHMW Repro do this but not HPDE .
At work we made some slides out of UHMW and everything was awesome until it went outside and the sun hit it . Became super wavy and we replaced it with HPDE and it solved the problem

I admit I cut things way too perfect. And I only got the warp like that the one time.. I opened the holes up a bit on everything but the top row. Those got a little bit of a slot. Hoping for it to be able to drift a bit. Now I just need another hot sunny day!
