.2 of a quart is NOT going to hurt the engine or overfill the engine

as soon as U crank the engine there is at least a couple quarts up n the engine.........residual oil in the upper engine & gallerys

NO One designs or manufactures an auto engine that uses ' splash ' lubrication ( possibly s o m e lawn mower engines w/o oil pumps)

no less the amount of oil varies with speed/load

not UNusual for most engines a majority o the time to be at least 1 quart low or the dipstick b4 most will add

i agree 7+ is tooo much yet to NO detriment

some towing with the tail end down..........headlights in the trees at night

a little extra oil aides in cooling & the oil reconstituting itself in the sump

remember flat/level is rare so steep inclines heavy loaded running

the oil is n the back o the sump

are you sure the jugs were full? I bought a 5 qt jug from Walmart once. Got it home, removed the cap and noticed the foil was broken. Looked at the side of the jug and there was a quart missing from the jug!

My only thought is that the oil is too transparent (not yellow/brown like conventional oils), so I can't see it on the dipstick?

But I can see some yellow/brown at the tip of the dipstick now, and some transparent streaks higher up (maybe smears from the dipstick tube?).
