I’m Justin. From southwest Missouri. Generally a car guy, been into lowered Honda’s most my life. Recently started riding SXS with friends and doing some light off roading. Decided to sell my 2010 Acura TSX and start searching for a Tacoma. I loved that TSX, had more of an OEM+ vibe with the factory (now discontinued) Sport (Modulo) front bumper and matching rear, lowered on Tein lowering springs. I’ve always liked Tacoma’s so I had to dive into this 4x4 world.

Found a ‘19 SR5 in silver at a dealer locally and went to check it out. Long story, short. It was junk, been in a couple accidents, even though CARFAX showed 1 accident in the rear. Truck had over spray all over the grille and the headlights were misaligned. I hard passed on that one. Same dealer had an ‘18 TRD Sport in Blazing Blue. I fell in love. Drive great, factory warranty remaining, decently priced. We pulled the trigger. Anxious to see where this goes. Not really planning on “building” it, but only time will tell. Threw up some pics of my old and current rides.FC4F8A62-6642-4FE6-9967-F78E177124E5.jpg19AA9E67-176D-4A9A-A6C6-53E643BB2BE9.jpg

Been awhile for an update. Got the windows tinted (43% windshield, 20 % on sides). Pulled the chin and mud flaps off. Upgraded the headlights. Started looking at 5100's. Did some trail riding with friends over the last weekend.

I live up in Kansas but come down to Springfield, MO quite often. Maybe we can link up and get some time on the trails when I'm down sometime.

Been quite awhile since my last update.

Truck has changed quite a bit. Bought wheels/tires/lift/headunit/powered sub. Had the truck since June of last year, driven 20K miles since then.

Lift was found from another forum, member was selling a Toytec Aluma 2.0 front coilovers, included rear shocks, Wheelers bump stops, sway bar relocation kit for a great price! Picked up Motegi MR149 in 17x8.5 ET 0 and paired those with Wildpeaks in 265/70/17. Installed the ECGS bushing around the same time I installed the lift, lift was set to around 2". Here's some pics over the last 8 months or so.

We also took a trip to Smoky Mountains in October. Trip was a blast and the truck was stock during this time. Truck did awesome.

Wheels and Tires only, no lift.

Joying Headunit. This headunit is well worth the 1/3 of the price of others. Full DSP, wireless CarPlay. I strictly use CarPlay and Gaia for trail rides.

Here's one from a recent trail trip with friends in Mark Twain National Forest.

All in all, this has been the best purchase I've ever made. Truck has been fantastic. Tons of scratches and small dings to go along with stories.
