    lol better late than never.

I did the unifilter mod on my truck as soon as i got it at 62k miles, and there was no foam filter. No clue if the PO had taken it out themselves or it got sucked in before i took ownership. Only time will tell I guess lol

Do 05–11 have this as well?

I think I might need to give the truck some TLC this weekend

Haha! Please do, the truck itself can’t stay clean for a day I drive lots of red dirt washboard roads. And when it rains it turns into a river!

I know but the Toyota dealers here have a mean waitlist! Since everyone and their mom drives a Toyota, so this was cheaper and faster

Make sure you get it done when you have time though! Pull the uni-filter and take it in, you will get a new valve set and pump and a couple years of warranty on them.

    Glad you caught it!
It might be worth getting the cover for that unit to help protect it further from the dirt that flies around.

Might have to take a trip to the junkyard, I know my friends all have them but my truck never had that cap over the pump

I just called my local dealer, it’s actually on back order the parts, so they will call me when they are available. The way they described it to me it sounds like if it doesn’t need work they won’t replace all of it? If that’s the case I might just say never mind. But if they replace everything like you say then it’s a no brainer

They replace the valves 100% of the time and inspect the pump, if any of the vanes are damaged new pump, and an upgraded filter and cover every time as well.
