I’ll put this in the marketplace also but will only put the backstory here. Selling off two (2) Curt Echo brake controllers, $150/ea, one used for a day, the other is brand new, still in the box. Here’s what they are:
    https://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Br...oh4LBM-NHuFaoE1rham9GLk3ol-TkHzEaAmVqEALw_wcB

So, how did I come to own 2 of the, you might ask? In early May, my parents started their cross country retirement camping trip. They have a Chevy 2500 diesel and dragging a 12k lb 5th wheel toy hauler so not a light set up. In Kentucky, they stopped to visit my cousin and noticed the truck kept flashing an intermittent alert on the dash ‘trailer disconnected’ and the brakes on the trailer wouldn’t work. My dad and my cousin tore in the trailer and truck side of the plugs, cleaned everything up, replaced the trailer side connection since it looked a little worn. Left there and got the alert a ways down the road again. They got it to GM, they didn’t have time to deep-dive trouble shoot but hooked up their computers and told them it’s not the trailer, there’s something wrong with the truck. They were ready to cut bait and come home because they didn’t want to head towards the Rockies not knowing if the brakes were going to function so I did some searching on ways to bypass Chevy’s integrated trailer brake controller and came up with the Curt Echo system. They picked one up at a local Uhaul and used it from Kentucky all the way to New Mexico. In New Mexico, the Curt app was telling them there was a system fault after driving all day now also. My dad bought a second unit and called Curt, who warrantied the first one (the warranty replacement is the one I have BNIB). As it turns out, there was actually a dead short in the trailer’s wiring. The next day, the new brake controller started giving some codes so my dad and an RV road tech tore into the trailer wiring and replaced the wires from the plug to the brakes. Now, wouldn’t you know, the trucks integrated brake controller is working just fine. The GM dealer’s diagnosis just stopped him from digging into the trailer when the trailer was the real issue!

So, now we have 2 to sell, we’re going to keep one since it is a pretty neat if you need it in a pinch. The unit plugs into a 7 pin connector and the trailer plugs into it. Braking action is done by an app and there’s a button on the app which allows you to manually activate the brakes if you need to. If you lose connectivity, the device remembers the last setting and goes back to that so you don’t lose brakes if your phone dies. Neat device, easy set up

I was thinking 150 local meet up but I could split the shipping if it needs to go that way.

I found out my favorite jerky place ships their product so I don’t have to wait until a trip to NY to restock. I also found out they make a sampler pack where you can get all 15 flavors in separate 1.6 oz bags. Today is a good day!
Big thumbs up to Damn Good Beef Jerky out of Stillwater, NY

I was going to message you, I forgot you’re not in NH anymore, i’m heading up there this weekend. Very shortly afterwards, I will be heading to NY and could meet you in Holyoke. Are you in a rush to get it or need it by a certain date?

I like the hickory one a lot. Some stores around here carry it, but their prices are usually super high. Looked at their website and it's about half the price there!

    I like this stuff: https://peopleschoicebeefjerky.com/collections/all/products/old-fashioned-original

I was surprised how low the website prices were! I may try yours but I just bought quite a bit of the damn good so it’ll be a while. I grew up close to where Damn Good is made so I could always get it pretty fresh. I didn’t know they had 15 standard flavors and now they have a bunch of others you can special order as well.

I've seen at least hickory, teriyaki, black pepper and the death by one locally but they usually want $7-8 for the tiny 1.6 oz bags. A younger me liked the hot ones, but I have to be careful with hot food now - some is fine (like buffalo sauce), some makes my stomach feel like it's on fire a few hours later (like fried jalapenos). Black pepper and hickory are usually my standard go-tos for any brand. I don't buy teriyaki because I don't tend to like meat mixed with sweet flavors.

    The garlic one sounds great!

Finally got off road yesterday, nothing too crazy and of course I forgot to take photos. I did a post trail inspection today and found that my passengerside LCA Balljoint is starting to go and the passengerside Camburg UCA boot is torn so I need to replace the boot on that one. I guess its time to rebuild my spare LCA's.

I tend to like sweeter and I do not like black pepper at all. I tried the ‘sweet and spicy’ one today and it was really good. Sweet but finished off with some good heat yet still tolerable for my Irish tastes. I’m a big fan of the hickory and their original. I bought larger bags of the premium cut and the hickory along with the full sample pack. These are going to be great treats for camping this summer!

Id consider it but Mike comes out my way here and there, plus I'm in no rush

No rush at all. I'm in Westfield like 7 mins off the pike if you're heading that way to NY
